The liaison protects people from repetitive calls and graphic updates; the property decision-maker confirms scene release, controls access, approves a written remediation scope, tracks personal property, and receives the closeout file. Immediate safety, crisis support, law-enforcement authority, insurance, remediation, and later reconstruction are different workstreams. No cleanup company should present itself as a mental-health provider or promise that a property decision will resolve grief.
